Recognizing the lack of access to basic dental care in many underserved communities, Deshraag Foundation organized a Dental and Oral Healthcare Camp in Gwalior to provide free checkups, consultations, and treatment guidance. Oral health is a frequently neglected aspect of overall wellbeing, particularly in rural and low-income areas where dental visits are often considered a luxury rather than a necessity.
Qualified dentists and healthcare volunteers conducted screenings for common dental issues such as cavities, gum disease, and oral infections, offering on-the-spot guidance and referrals for further treatment where needed. The camp also included awareness sessions on the importance of daily oral hygiene, proper brushing techniques, and the long-term effects of neglecting dental care, especially for children and elderly participants.
The initiative saw enthusiastic participation from local families, many of whom had never had access to a dental checkup before. By bringing professional healthcare services directly to the community, Deshraag Foundation continues its mission of making essential healthcare accessible to all, while empowering people with the knowledge to maintain better oral health in their everyday lives.
