Equipping rural women with the skills and confidence to build sustainable businesses and adapt to the digital economy.
Deshraag Foundation, in collaboration with the M.P. Council of Science & Technology, organized a Financial Literacy Awareness Workshop for women Self-Help Group members across the Gwalior region. The initiative was designed to bridge the gap between traditional livelihood practices and modern business tools, helping women transform their small-scale enterprises into sustainable, income-generating ventures.
The workshop covered key areas including entrepreneurship development, digital marketing, financial literacy, and e-commerce guidance. Participants were trained on how to market their products online, manage finances effectively, understand banking and credit systems, and use digital platforms to expand their customer base beyond local markets.
Through hands-on training sessions, group discussions, and practical demonstrations, women SHG members gained the confidence and tools needed to grow their businesses independently. The program reflects Deshraag Foundation's ongoing commitment to strengthening rural livelihoods through education, technology access, and community-driven empowerment.
